Mimitzrayim

This exuberant niggun expresses our overflowing joy in leaving Mitzrayim and our deep trust in the final geulah.

The song has two simple stanzas. They are repeated over and over, each time sung louder and with more excitement.

Reb Hillel Paritcher, a great chossid of the Tzemach Tzedek, was extremely fond of this niggun. The chassidim of Nikolayev taught it to the Rebbe Rashab on Pesach 5670. It was sung many times at the Rebbe’s farbrengens.
